I have been an active member of the New York City jazz community as an awardwinning saxophonist, composer and arranger since arriving in NY in 2011. I have earned degrees from the University of Miami, New England Conservatory and the Juilliard School. Some of the opportunities I’ve been given to performed have been throughout the U.S. and abroad in Central and South America, Australia, Europe, and Russia. Some of my sideman work includes performances with Nicholas Payton, Miguel Zenón, and Jason Palmer, and I can be heard on over 20 recordings, including my solo debut, The Long Way (2011). As a composer and arranger, I have been commissioned by school and professional ensembles throughout the United States, and my talents have been recognized by DownBeat magazine as well as the “Keep an Eye” competition in Amsterdam, NL. I currently co-lead and write for the Terraza 7 Big Band based in Queens, NY, in addition to my own quintet and trio.
