I am a professional musician and instructor with over 20 years of experience. In addition to being a solo artist, I’m also the frontman for the local punk band Angry Old Man, www.angryoldmusic.com. I learned my stage craft from playing at the venues like the Bitter End and the legendary CBGB’s at least twice a month from 2001 until they closed. I’ve been teaching professionally since 2010, teaching guitar, bass, directing shows and camps, and leading the songwriting and recording program. I’m also an audio engineer and producer. I worked at several major studios and served as an audio engineer for Fisher Price/Mattel.
My love for music comes from my cousin Aimee, who was a singer, musician, and really served as my rock and roll preschool. Some of my earliest memories are of her playing records for me, exposing me to rock and roll, and taking me to my first concerts. If it were not for her, I would have never had the quick bass lesson from one of pro musician buddies, that truly started me on the path of becoming a musician.
I always say, “I wish places like iSchool existed when I was a kid!”
