Born in Atlanta, Georgia, I’m passionate, enthusiastic sharer of the joy of music. My passion for music and teaching is apparent in all of my classes and lessons, and I always bring great joy along with a wealth of information collected over my years of study.

With a Bachelors and Masters in Jazz Performance, what makes my teaching unique is the focus on application. I want students not only to have a strong foundation in music theory but for them also to understand how to apply it to express themselves. I’ve always been a multi-instrumentalist, so whether it is teaching Jazz or Classical Saxophone, Classical or Jazz Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Jazz Drums, Music Production, Mixing, Music Technology, I’m always sharing core theoretical knowledge as well as how to manipulate that information to create beautiful, inspired music.

I’m also very focused on the art of learning, so when I teach a student to learn, I teach them to be thoughtful about the process of learning. This focus can then be applied to all areas of life.
