With humble beginnings in New Hampshire, music has taken me places far and wide and has brought me to new avenues in life I never thought possible. In teaching, guidance must be had for the individual to be shown doors, and then they must make the leap to open the doors they wish to go through for their own journey.

The joy of woodwinds is that of individual personality, discipline and fun, all put together to create a unique sound to that person. The methods of my teachings incorporate tools and foundations to use from the first lesson and beyond. Ideas and methods that can be used to have the student to be open minded and informed on their journey. Patience and progress is what I put forth in lessons, progress is not instant; therefore patience must exercised with each student. My approach elaborates on starting with fundamentals, engaging in listening, repertoire and technique as key pillars, and clearing obstacles that impede on progress and motivation, as with motivation and joy comes great music and a competent student.
