Music has always been a huge passion of mine. I began studying the piano at the age of 6 where I studied under the tutelage of Arthur Romeo. Through my piano teacher’s instruction, I had the privilege of learning various styles of music such as classical, jazz, salsa, and ragtime music. In 2011, I earned my A.S. degree in music performance at Suffolk County Community College. Later on, I attended Molloy College where I earned a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in music and psychology. During my college years, I was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. At Molloy College, I studied classical and jazz piano under James Montalbano.
As a performer, I have performed in various areas throughout the NYC and Long Island area. I had the honor of performing as a jazz pianist and singer for the Huntington Yacht Club from 2007-2008. Additionally, I have accompanied many students for NYSSMA festivals and various musical performances.
As an educator, I have taught piano lessons privately and in various studios throughout the Long Island area for the last seven years. I strive to challenge my students and help them realize their full potential. Many of my students performed at NYSSMA and have done well. I encourage my students by using a positive approach while also setting high expectations for all students for maximum musical advancement. In addition, I receive personal rewards from teaching. It is an honor to have the privilege to work with some of the most talented students and see their achievements here at iSchool of Music & Art.
