Alex Kaufman

I’ve been studying the drums for over 18 years and am well versed in many styles including Rock, Pop, Funk, Reggae, Hip-Hop, World, Jazz & Latin. I specialize in NYSSMA preparation, learning how to read music, discovering creativity, and showing students how to play their favorite songs. I studied Music Performance at Nassau Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree in 2013. I attended the Benny Greb Mastersession, NY, Common Thread Drum Camp, NY and the 21 Drums Camp, Ireland. I had the fortunate opportunity to study with Mark Edwards, Benny Greb, Robert Mitrea, Billy Rymer, Dan Gluszak, Mike Osrowitz, Mike Johnston, Ash Soan, JP Bouvet, and Mark Guiliana! I recently added Steel Drum, and Handpan to my creative palette of instruments.
